Disciple of Harry Sparnaay and Erik van Deuren at Conservatorium van Amsterdam (2003-2005), Antonio Rosales specializes in the performance of repertoire for bass clarinet. Since 1996, he has been a founder and member of diverse Mexican chamber ensembles such as Arghül Clarinet Quartet, Anemos Clarinet Quartet, Tempus Fugit Ensemble, Liminar Ensemble, QUARTZ Ensemble and Low Frequency Trio, as well as a constant guest of the most important symphony orchestras of the country. An avid champion of contemporary music, he has given the Mexican premier of many modern works such as “Echange” by Iannis Xenakis, “Itou” by Pascal Dusapin, “Concertino for Bass Clarinet and String Quartet” by Tristan Keuris and he has collaborated with many young and established composers to develop pieces that enrich the repertoire of his instrument.

Since 2016, he also dedicates to the performance of the basset horn, offering first performances in Mexico of works such as “Concerto in F major for Corno di Bassetto and Orchestra” by Alessandro Rolla, “Concertpiece No. 2 for Clarinet, Basset Horn and Orchestra” by Mendelssohn, “Non Piu di Fiori Vaghe Catene” aria from Mozart’s Opera “La Clemenza di Tito” with corno di bassetto obbligato, “Quintet for Basset Horn and String Quartet” by Backofen and “Variations on a Folk German Song” by Beerhalter.
